Beschreibung

Yangambin is a natural compound that is extracted from the bark of Acacia yangambin. Yangambin has been shown to inhibit tumor progression and induce cell death in vitro and in vivo. This extract has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting the production of proinflammatory cytokines, such as IL-6 and IL-8, and suppressing the activation of transcription factors NF-κB, AP-1, and NFAT. Yangambin also induces apoptosis in cancer cells by activating caspase 3. Yangambin inhibits squamous carcinoma cells by inducing mitochondrial membrane potential collapse and intracellular Ca2+ levels reduction. Yangambin also enhances locomotor activity in experimental animals while reducing primary rat neuron cell death caused by oxidative stress.
