Beschreibung:Prosulfuron is a fluorinated sulfonylurea herbicide with an acute oral LD50 of 546 mg/kg in female rats. It inhibits weed growth by blocking the biosynthesis of branched-chain amino acids (valine, leucine, and isoleucine) through the inhibition of acetolactate synthase (ALS). Additionally, Prosulfuron may disrupt the balance of soil microbiota in alkaline soils and has minimal chemical degradation. It is noted for its low toxicity to humans and mammals and is utilized in studies for controlling broadleaf weeds in corn and sweet corn fields.
