Applications 2-Bromopropane is a compound that induces hemapoietic and reproductive effects on humans. It is known to cause male infertility and primary ovarian failure in humans as well. In the industry, 2-bromopropane is used as an alternative solvent to ozone depleting chlorofluorocarbons (e.g. 1,1,1-Trichlorotrifluoroethane [T774305]).
