Applications (S)​-​(+)​-​1-​Bromo-​2-​methylbutane is an intermediate in synthesizing Colistin A Sulfate Hydrate (C641510), used as an antibiotic in the treatment of infectious diseases resulting from multi-drug resistant (MDR) gram-negative bacteria.
