Applications 5-Hydroxy-2-adamantanone is used in the hydrosilylation of hydroxyketones. Also used in the preparation of adamantane substituted guanylhydrazones as inhibitors of butyrylcholinesterase, natural enzymes affecting succinic acid regulation.
