Applications Phenyl phosphate disodium increases the viscosity of hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide solution micelles. Its nitrate derivative, PNPP (P653443), is the substrate of choice for use with alkaline phosphatase in Enzyme Linked Immunosorbant Assay (ELISA) procedures.
