OP-1118 is a small molecule that inhibits the activity of NF-κB, which is a major regulator of inflammatory responses. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on intestinal inflammation and infectious diseases. OP-1118 also has bactericidal properties and can be used in conjunction with antibiotics to treat bacterial infections. This drug is currently undergoing clinical development as a potential treatment for inflammatory bowel disease. Animal studies have shown that OP-1118 has little effect on the gut flora, which may be due to its low plasma concentrations.
