Descripción:
Fmoc-D-Glu(OtBu)-OH, también conocido como éster tert-butilo del ácido Fmoc-D-glutámico, es una forma protegida del aminoácido ácido glutámico. Presenta un grupo fluorenilmetoxicarbonilo (Fmoc), que se utiliza comúnmente en la síntesis de péptidos para proteger el grupo amino, permitiendo reacciones selectivas en el grupo carboxilo. El éster tert-butilo (OtBu) protege la funcionalidad del ácido carboxílico, mejorando la estabilidad y solubilidad del compuesto. Esta sustancia es típicamente un sólido blanco a blanco sucio y es soluble en disolventes orgánicos como el diclorometano y el dimetilformamida, pero menos soluble en agua. Se utiliza ampliamente en el campo de la química orgánica y la síntesis de péptidos, particularmente en la síntesis de péptidos en fase sólida (SPPS), debido a su capacidad para facilitar la adición secuencial de aminoácidos mientras previene reacciones secundarias no deseadas. The synthesis of Fmoc-D-glu(OtBu)-OH is achieved by solid-phase peptide synthesis, which involves the ligation of amino acid building blocks on an insoluble carrier resin. This process has been found to be effective for the synthesis of peptides with a variety of amino acid sequences. Fmoc-D-glu(OtBu)-OH has been shown to inhibit the growth and multiplication of Chlorella pyrenoidosa, a single celled green alga, and Paramecium tetraurelia, a protozoan ciliate.
