Fmoc-D-Glu(OtBu)-OH, también conocido como éster tert-butilo del ácido Fmoc-D-glutámico, es una forma protegida del aminoácido ácido glutámico. Presenta un grupo fluorenilmetoxicarbonilo (Fmoc), que se utiliza comúnmente en la síntesis de péptidos para proteger el grupo amino, permitiendo reacciones selectivas en el grupo carboxilo. El éster tert-butilo (OtBu) protege la funcionalidad del ácido carboxílico, mejorando la estabilidad y solubilidad del compuesto. Esta sustancia es típicamente un sólido blanco a blanco sucio y es soluble en disolventes orgánicos como el diclorometano y el dimetilformamida, pero menos soluble en agua.
