CAS:<p>2,5-Diketopiperazine is a trifluoroacetic acid derivative that has been shown to inhibit the growth of prostate cancer cells. The molecular docking analysis revealed that 2,5-Diketopiperazine binds to epidermal growth factor (EGF) and intermolecular hydrogen bonding may be involved in its interaction with EGF. 2,5-Diketopiperazine also inhibits the activity of fatty acid synthase by binding to the acyl carrier protein and blocking the formation of malonyl coenzyme A.
