Tunicamicina es un antibiótico nucleósido que se conoce principalmente por su capacidad para inhibir la glicosilación N-enlazada en células eucariotas. Es producido por la bacteria *Streptomyces lysosuperificus* y se caracteriza por su estructura compleja, que incluye un moiety de azúcar y un azúcar amino. Tunicamicina actúa interfiriendo con la síntesis de glicoproteínas, lo que puede llevar a varios efectos celulares, incluida la apoptosis en ciertos tipos de células.
