Descripción:
Monoetil éter de dietilenglicol, comúnmente conocido como DEGEE, es un compuesto orgánico con la fórmula química C6H14O3. Es un líquido incoloro e inodoro que es higroscópico y tiene una baja volatilidad. DEGEE es conocido por sus excelentes propiedades como disolvente, lo que lo hace efectivo para disolver una amplia gama de sustancias, incluyendo resinas, aceites y varios polímeros. Tiene un punto de ebullición relativamente alto y un punto de inflamación moderado, lo que indica que debe ser manejado con cuidado para evitar riesgos de incendio. DEGEE es miscible con agua y muchos disolventes orgánicos, lo que mejora su utilidad en diversas aplicaciones, incluyendo como disolvente en pinturas, recubrimientos y productos de limpieza.
