3-(3-Fluorophenyl)-2-(5-methyl-1H-1,2,3,4-tetrazol-1-yl)propanoic acid is a potent activator of GABAA receptors. It has been shown to have high affinity for GABA binding sites and is able to activate the receptor with an EC50 of around 100 nM. It also has no effect on other receptors that are structurally related to GABA, such as glycine and 5HT3 receptors. 3-(3-Fluorophenyl)-2-(5-methyl-1H-1,2,3,4-tetrazol-1-yl)propanoic acid is soluble in DMSO and ethanol.
