Descripción:
Clorhidrato de tris(hidroximetil)aminometano, comúnmente conocido como clorhidrato de Tris, es un polvo cristalino blanco que es altamente soluble en agua. Es un agente tamponador ampliamente utilizado en bioquímica y biología molecular para mantener un pH estable en varias reacciones biológicas y químicas. El compuesto presenta tres grupos hidroximetilo unidos a un grupo amino, lo que contribuye a su capacidad de tamponamiento, particularmente en el rango de pH fisiológico. El clorhidrato de Tris se utiliza a menudo en la preparación de tampones para electroforesis, cultivo celular y ensayos enzimáticos. Su valor de pKa es de aproximadamente 8.1, lo que lo hace efectivo para tamponar soluciones cerca del pH neutro.
