CAS:Ixazomib Citrate (MLN9708) is a proteasome inhibitor that belongs to the class of investigational agents. It has minimal toxicity and is being investigated for use in the treatment of multiple myeloma, a type of cancer that starts in the bone marrow. Ixazomib Citrate inhibits the activity of proteasomes, which are cellular structures responsible for degrading proteins. This inhibition leads to an increase in the number of cells with damaged DNA and an increase in apoptosis.
