Descripción:
Óxido de samario (Sm2O3) es un óxido de metal raro caracterizado por su alta estabilidad y propiedades ópticas y electrónicas únicas. Aparece como un polvo blanco a amarillento e insoluble en agua, pero soluble en ácidos. El óxido de samario exhibe una estructura cristalina cúbica y es conocido por su alto punto de fusión, lo que lo hace adecuado para aplicaciones a alta temperatura. Se utiliza principalmente en la producción de imanes de samario-cobalto, fósforos para tubos de televisión en color y como catalizador en diversas reacciones químicas.
