Sodium acetate anhydrous is a salt of sodium and acetic acid. It is a white crystalline solid that can be obtained by reacting sodium hydroxide with acetic acid. This material is used as the buffer in analytical methods to maintain pH levels during chemical reactions. Injection solutions containing this salt are also used for injection into humans.
