Fluorescein-beta-D-glucopyranoside is a monophosphate, modified nucleoside that is synthesized from fluorescein by the action of beta-D-glucose. It can be used as an activator or antiviral agent. Fluorescein-beta-D-glucopyranoside has been shown to have anticancer and antitumor properties by inhibiting RNA synthesis in tumor cells. Fluorescein-beta-D-glucopyranoside has also been shown to have antiinflammatory properties.
