Descripción:
Óxido de vanadio (V2O5) es un compuesto químico caracterizado por su color amarillo brillante a naranja y es conocido por su alto punto de fusión y estabilidad. Existe principalmente en forma cristalina y es soluble en agua, formando iones vanadato. V2O5 es un catalizador importante en varias reacciones químicas, particularmente en la producción de ácido sulfúrico y en la oxidación de compuestos orgánicos. Exhibe propiedades semiconductoras y se utiliza en la fabricación de cerámicas y vidrio, así como en la producción de metal y aleaciones de vanadio. El compuesto también es de interés en el campo del almacenamiento de energía, particularmente en baterías de flujo redox de vanadio.
