Clorhidrato de difenhidramina es un antihistamínico comúnmente utilizado para aliviar los síntomas de alergia, fiebre del heno y el resfriado común. It has been used in the treatment of allergic reactions and bowel disease. The drug has shown no significant adverse effects in humans at doses up to 100 mg/day. Diphenhydramine is also used as an antiemetic, for motion sickness, and for other indications. It is available over the counter and by prescription. Side effects include dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, difficulty urinating, and sleepiness.
