Ac2-26 can activate all three formyl peptide receptor family members FPR, FPR-like (FPRL)1 and FPRL2 at similar concentations. It represents the first endogenous ligand for FPRL2. In myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury experiments the peptide showed cardioprotective effects.
