Ritonavir

Descripción:
Ritonavir es un medicamento antirretroviral que se utiliza principalmente en el tratamiento del VIH/SIDA. Pertenece a la clase de inhibidores de la proteasa, que actúan inhibiendo la enzima proteasa, crucial para el proceso de replicación viral. Ritonavir se caracteriza por su compleja estructura molecular, que incluye una serie de grupos funcionales que contribuyen a su actividad farmacológica. Se administra típicamente por vía oral y es conocido por su capacidad para mejorar la efectividad de otros medicamentos antirretrovirales cuando se utiliza en terapia combinada.
