PRN-1008 is a small molecule inhibitor of the tyrosine kinase protein. It is designed to be reversible and covalent, which means that the drug will bind to the protein and it will not be able to function. PRN-1008 has been shown to inhibit chronic inflammation in animal models by blocking the enzyme phospholipase A2. The drug has also been shown to have therapeutic effects on hematological disorders such as leukemia, lymphoma, myeloid leukemia, myeloproliferative disorders, and myelodysplastic syndrome.
