Diclorometano-d2, también conocido como diclorometano deuterado, es una variante isotópica pesada del diclorometano (DCM), donde los átomos de hidrógeno son reemplazados por deuterio, un isótopo estable del hidrógeno. Su fórmula química es C2D2Cl2, y se caracteriza por su forma líquida clara y incolora con un olor dulce, similar al cloroformo. It has been shown to react with glycol ethers, malonic acid, and trifluoroacetic acid in the presence of an electron-deficient acceptor. Dichloromethane-d2 also reacts with rat liver microsomes, forming a hydrolysis product. This reaction is catalyzed by cytochrome P450 enzymes. Dichloromethane-d2 has the ability to form hydrogen bonds with other molecules. The molecule can bind to nitrogen atoms in proteins or nucleic acids.
