Descripción:
Lacosamida es un compuesto farmacéutico que se utiliza principalmente como anticonvulsivo en el tratamiento de la epilepsia. Se clasifica como un aminoácido funcionalizado y es conocido por su capacidad para estabilizar las membranas neuronales e inhibir la descarga neuronal repetitiva. La fórmula química de Lacosamida es C15H18N2O2, y presenta una estructura única que incluye un anillo fenilo y un grupo funcional amida. Lacosamida actúa mejorando la inactivación de los canales de sodio dependientes de voltaje, lo que ayuda a reducir la excitabilidad de las neuronas.
