CAS:17β-Estradiol 17β-D-glucuronide is a steroid that is formed by the conjugation of estradiol with glucuronic acid. It has been shown to have transport properties and can be taken up by cells in the presence of sodium taurocholate, which is a cotransporter. 17β-Estradiol 17β-D-glucuronide has been found in various tissues, such as human liver and rat liver microsomes. This drug has also been shown to inhibit enzymes, such as cholesterol synthesis. Pravastatin is an inhibitor of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase (HMGCR), which is an enzyme involved in cholesterol synthesis.
