CAS:Producto controlado
Cyproterone is a steroidal anti-androgen that is used in the treatment of prostate cancer and other diseases. Cyproterone acetate (CPA) is an ester prodrug of cyproterone, which has been used as a contraceptive for more than 25 years. It binds to cytoplasmic receptors, blocking the effects of androgens on these receptors. CPA also inhibits transcriptional regulation by reducing the basal level of androgen receptor expression in target tissues. Cyproterone acetate has been shown to inhibit the growth of breast cancer cells through its ability to bind to and activate growth factor-β1 (GF-β1). CPA also has been shown to have positive effects on energy metabolism by regulating the activity of enzymes in this process. Cyproterone acetate is not active against many Gram-positive bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
Fórmula:C22H27ClO3Pureza:Min. 95%Forma y color:PowderPeso molecular:374.9 g/molCyproterone-13C2,d8
