Applications Bis(triphenylphosphoranylidene)ammonium chloride is a catalyst that is used in the preparation of 5-Hydroxy-clethodim Sulfoxide (H918380). 5-Hydroxy-clethodim Sulfoxide is an impurity of Clethodim (C573250), a post-emergent herbicide. Bis(triphenylphosphoranylidene)ammonium chloride is also a useful new reagent for the synthesis of nucleoside-5’-di and triphosphates.
