Clorhidrato de 1-etil-3-(3'-dimetilaminopropil)carbodiimida, comúnmente conocido como EDC, es un carbodiimida soluble en agua que se utiliza principalmente como agente de acoplamiento en la síntesis de péptidos y otras aplicaciones que implican la formación de enlaces amida. Facilita la activación de ácidos carboxílicos, permitiendo que reaccionen con aminas para formar enlaces amida estables.
