CAS:Producto controlado<p>Polyethylenimine is a linear, high molecular weight polymer consisting of repeating ethylene imine units. It is a water-soluble compound that has been shown to have minimal toxicity and can be used as a transfection agent in experiments with carcinoma cell lines. Polyethylenimine has also been shown to promote the permeability of water through the cell membrane by binding to hydrophobic regions on the membrane surface. This effect is due to the formation of disulfide bonds between polyethyleneimine and cellular proteins.
