    CAS:

    (S)-Naproxen ethyl ester is an enantiomer of naproxen. It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that binds to the cyclooxygenase enzyme to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. (S)-Naproxen ethyl ester has been shown to be more potent than naproxen in inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis and less toxic in animal studies. This drug also inhibits virus production and has been used for molecular modeling studies.
