Ácido tiaprofénico es un fármaco antiinflamatorio no esteroideo (AINE) utilizado principalmente por sus propiedades analgésicas y antiinflamatorias. Pertenece a la clase de derivados del ácido propiónico y se caracteriza por su capacidad para inhibir las enzimas ciclooxigenasas, que juegan un papel crucial en la síntesis de prostaglandinas involucradas en la inflamación y el dolor.
