It inhibits potassium ion channels by binding to the extracellular domain of the alpha subunit of the voltage gated potassium channel. 3-[(4-Chlorophenyl)methyl]-2-sulfanyl-3,4-dihydroquinazolin-4-one has been shown to inhibit protein interactions and receptor/ligand interactions in vitro.
