3-Cyclopentyl-1-(piperazin-1-yl)propan-1-one is a plant growth regulator that belongs to the group of pyridines. It is used in agriculture to stimulate the growth of plants and increase their yield, although it can also be used in a number of other applications, such as bioremediation. 3CYPP has been shown to inhibit the transcription and replication of viruses, including HIV, herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), and influenza virus. This drug also has anti-depressant effects in animal models. 3CYPP is not teratogenic or carcinogenic in rats and mice at doses up to 1000 mg/kg.
