3,4,6-Tri-O-acetyl-b-D-mannopyranose 1,2-(methyl orthoacetate) is a glycosylation product that is used in the synthesis of oligosaccharides. 3,4,6-Tri-O-acetyl-b-D-mannopyranose 1,2-(methyl orthoacetate) is synthesized by the reaction of 3,4,6-triacetyl b D mannopyranose with methyl orthoacetate in aqueous solution containing an acid catalyst.
