2-Fluoro-3,5-dinitrobenzoic acid (2FDBA) is a fluorinated dinitrophenyl ester that is used in microwave-assisted organic synthesis. It can be used to synthesize glycosylated trichloroacetimidates with efficient and stereospecific methodology. 2FDBA is an acceptor for the electron-rich trichloroacetimidates, which undergoes glycosylation reactions at these positions. The product has been shown to be stable in water at pH 6.0 and above, but not in basic solutions.
