α-D-Glucosa, también conocido como alfa-D-glucopiranosa, es un monosacárido y un carbohidrato esencial en biología. Es un azúcar de seis carbonos (hexosa) con la fórmula molecular C6H12O6. En su forma α-anomérica, el grupo hidroxilo en el primer átomo de carbono está orientado hacia abajo en la estructura cíclica, que es una forma de pirano.
