Eltrombopag es un agonista sintético de receptores de trombopoyetina de pequeñas moléculas que se utiliza principalmente en el tratamiento de la trombocitopenia, particularmente en pacientes con púrpura trombocitopénica inmune crónica (PTI) y aquellos que se someten a ciertos tipos de quimioterapia.
