Difenhidramina

Difenhidramina es un antihistamínico comúnmente utilizado para prevenir y tratar las náuseas, vómitos y mareos causados por el mareo por movimiento. Es una combinación de difenhidramina, un antihistamínico, y 8-cloroteofilina, un estimulante que contrarresta los efectos sedantes de la difenhidramina. La sustancia aparece como un polvo cristalino blanco a blanco sucio y es soluble en agua, lo que la hace adecuada para diversas formulaciones, incluidas tabletas y soluciones orales. Difenhidramina actúa bloqueando la acción de la histamina en los receptores H1 y tiene propiedades anticolinérgicas, que contribuyen a su efectividad en el alivio de los síntomas asociados con el mareo por movimiento. Su inicio de acción generalmente ocurre dentro de 30 minutos a una hora, con efectos que duran varias horas.
