Diciclohexilcarbodiimida (DCC) es un compuesto orgánico ampliamente utilizado como agente de acoplamiento en la síntesis de péptidos y otras reacciones orgánicas. Se caracteriza por su estructura única, que presenta dos grupos ciclohexilo unidos a un grupo funcional carbodiimida central. CAS:<p>DCC is a carbodiimide coupling reagent for amide and ester formation, used in peptide synthesis in presence of benzotriazole-based additives such as HOBt or HOAt to limit epimerisation. The urea by-product is highly insoluble in water and most organic solvents; therefore it can be easily removed by filtration. The insolubility of the urea makes the use of DCC unsuitable for solid-phase peptide synthesis unlike DIC, and only suitable for solution-phase couplings.
