CAS:Producto controladoEtifoxine hydrochloride is a drug that has been used in the treatment of asthma and other pulmonary diseases. It is a potent inhibitor of phospholipase A2, which modulates the production of inflammatory mediators. Etifoxine hydrochloride has been shown to have neurotrophic effects, with potential for clinical use in the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. This drug also has anti-inflammatory properties due to its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. Etifoxine hydrochloride acts as an agonist on receptors, which may be responsible for some of its biological properties, including thermal expansion and axonal growth. In addition, this drug is a competitive inhibitor of the enzyme poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP), which is involved in DNA repair and cell division.
