Descripción:
D(+)-Sacarosa, comúnmente conocido como azúcar de mesa, es un disacárido compuesto de unidades de glucosa y fructosa unidas por un enlace glucosídico. Es un sólido blanco y cristalino que es altamente soluble en agua, lo que lo convierte en un edulcorante ampliamente utilizado en alimentos y bebidas. D(+)-Sacarosa tiene un sabor dulce, que es aproximadamente 1.5 veces más dulce que la glucosa. No es reductor, lo que significa que no tiene un grupo aldehído o cetona libre, lo que lo distingue de otros azúcares como los azúcares reductores.
