Descripción:Etano, 1,1'-oxibis-, también conocido como éter dietílico, es un compuesto orgánico caracterizado por su estructura de éter simple, que presenta dos grupos etilo conectados por un átomo de oxígeno. Es un líquido incoloro y volátil con un olor dulce distintivo y es altamente inflamable. El éter dietílico tiene un punto de ebullición relativamente bajo, lo que lo hace útil como disolvente en varias reacciones químicas y extracciones. Es miscible con muchos disolventes orgánicos pero solo ligeramente soluble en agua. El compuesto se utiliza comúnmente en laboratorios y en la industria farmacéutica, particularmente como disolvente para compuestos orgánicos y en la preparación de ciertos fármacos. Además, debido a sus propiedades anestésicas, se utilizó históricamente en procedimientos quirúrgicos, aunque su uso ha disminuido en favor de alternativas más seguras.
