1-Phenylpent-4-en-2-ol
CAS:
1-Phenylpent-4-en-2-ol is a chiral synthon that has been shown to react with fluorine to form a 1,3,5,7-tetrahydrobenzo[g]quinoline. This compound has been used in the synthesis of epoxides and alkenyl compounds. It also reacts with allyl bromide in the presence of lithium chloride to form an allylated product. The vicinal diols are also able to undergo ring opening reactions with epoxides to form vicinal epoxide products. The theory behind this reaction is that the vicinal diols act as dienes and the epoxide acts as a dihydroxypentadienyl anion intermediate. These reactions have been proven using x-ray crystal structures of these molecules. 1-Phenylpent-4-en-2-ol can act as a ligand for metal ions and has been used as
Fórmula:C11H14OPureza:Min. 95%Peso molecular:162.2 g/mol
