Polisiloxanos, di-Me, comúnmente conocido como dimetilsiloxano, es un tipo de polímero de silicona caracterizado por una unidad repetitiva de enlaces siloxano (Si-O) con grupos metilo unidos a los átomos de silicio. Este compuesto exhibe una serie de propiedades notables, incluyendo excelente estabilidad térmica, baja tensión superficial y resistencia al agua y a productos químicos, lo que lo hace altamente versátil en diversas aplicaciones. Típicamente es incoloro, inodoro y no tóxico, lo que contribuye a su uso en productos de cuidado personal, lubricantes y selladores. Además, el dimetilsiloxano tiene baja viscosidad y puede formularse en diferentes consistencias, desde aceites hasta geles, dependiendo del peso molecular y la estructura.
