CAS:
Phenol hydrobromide is a chemical that inhibits plant metabolism by binding to the enzyme alcohol dehydrogenase, which catalyzes the conversion of alcohols to aldehydes and ketones. Phenol hydrobromide has been shown to inhibit the production of energy in wild-type yeast cells when they are grown at high concentrations. The optimum concentration for this inhibitor is 10 mM. Phenol hydrobromide has also been shown to inhibit the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in vitro. This inhibition may be due to its ability to form hydrogen bonds with water molecules or its basic structure.
Fórmula:C14H24BrNOPureza:Min. 95%Peso molecular:302.25 g/mol
