    <p>Ubenimex is a peptide-based inhibitor of aminopeptidase enzymes that act on the N-terminus of amino acid chains. It is also an inhibitor of Leucine aminopeptidase 3 (LAP3) and a potent irreversible inhibitor of Leukotriene A4 (LTA4) hydrolase. It is used in the treatment of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis. Ubenimex binds to the active site of aminopeptidases and inhibits their activity, thus preventing degradation of peptides. Ubenimex has been shown to inhibit aminopeptidase A and B, but not C or D.
