Azetidine-1-sulfonamide is a synthetic drug that can be used to treat autoimmune diseases. It is an inhibitor of the inflammatory chemokine and chloride secreted by macrophages, which prevents the activation of T cells. Azetidine-1-sulfonamide also has antibacterial activity against bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Acinetobacter baumannii. The drug inhibits bacterial growth by binding to their DNA gyrase, preventing DNA synthesis and replication.
