Descripción:
Ácido salicílico, con el número CAS 69-72-7, es un ácido orgánico cristalino e incoloro que es ampliamente reconocido por su papel tanto en medicina como en agricultura. Es un ácido beta hidroxílico (BHA) con la fórmula molecular C7H6O3, caracterizado por un grupo hidroxilo (-OH) y un grupo ácido carboxílico (-COOH) unidos a un anillo bencénico. Esta estructura contribuye a sus propiedades como un antiséptico suave y agente antiinflamatorio, lo que lo convierte en un ingrediente común en tratamientos para el acné y productos para el cuidado de la piel. CAS:<p>Salicylic acid is a weak organic acid that is used as a plant hormone. It has been shown to have enzyme activities that may be involved in the regulation of glycol ether metabolism, photosynthetic activity, p-hydroxybenzoic acid biosynthesis and nutrient solution. Salicylic acid also inhibits nitrite ion production by reacting with acetylsalicylic, which is an inhibitor of the enzyme nitric oxide synthase. Salicylic acid may inhibit transcriptional regulation by steric interactions with DNA or by binding to regulatory proteins.
