Descripción:
Holmio es un elemento de tierras raras con el número atómico 67 y está representado por el símbolo Ho. Es un metal blanco plateado que forma parte de la serie de los lantánidos en la tabla periódica. Holmio es conocido por su relativamente alta susceptibilidad magnética y es uno de los elementos más magnéticos. Tiene un punto de fusión de aproximadamente 1,474 grados Celsius y un punto de ebullición alrededor de 2,545 grados Celsius. Holmio es relativamente estable en el aire y no se empaña fácilmente, aunque puede reaccionar con agua y ácidos. Se utiliza principalmente en diversas aplicaciones, incluidos reactores nucleares, láseres y como dopante en ciertos tipos de vidrio y cerámica para mejorar sus propiedades ópticas.
