Descripción:
Fosfato de fludarabina es un agente antineoplásico utilizado principalmente en el tratamiento de ciertos tipos de leucemia, particularmente la leucemia linfocítica crónica (LLC) y el linfoma no Hodgkin. Es un análogo de purina, específicamente un derivado de adenosina, que interfiere con la síntesis y reparación del ADN, lo que lleva a la muerte celular. El compuesto se administra típicamente por vía intravenosa y es conocido por su capacidad para penetrar eficazmente las membranas celulares debido a su forma de éster fosfato, que mejora su solubilidad. Fosfato de fludarabina presenta una vida media relativamente corta, lo que requiere un dosificación y monitoreo cuidadosos durante el tratamiento. Los efectos secundarios comunes incluyen mielosupresión, inmunosupresión y trastornos gastrointestinales.     <p>Fludarabine phosphate is an antileukemic drug that inhibits DNA polymerase α and β, as well as other enzymes in the nucleotide synthesis pathway. It is used to treat patients with chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) who have developed resistance to other treatments. Fludarabine phosphate has been shown to induce a cytotoxic effect against tumor cells by binding to ATP-binding cassette transporter proteins on the cell membrane and inhibiting intracellular targets such as DNA, RNA, and protein synthesis. Fludarabine phosphate has also been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells through synergistic interactions with other anticancer drugs such as hydroxyurea or busulfan, which may be due to its ability to inhibit enzyme activities such as erythrocyte alkaline phosphatase.</p>
